Zach's Theatre and Deaf Austin Theater’s Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella

Zach's Theatre (Zach's) and Deaf Austin Theater (DAT) partnership for the Greater Austin Deaf Community received $5,000 support to provide a total theatrical experience. Scenes were performed in a mixture of American Sign Language and Spoken English with captions throughout the Rogers + Hammerstein's Cinderella musical fairytale with the mixed cast of deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing actors. At least 75 community members were able to enjoy this enchanting evening escaping into a two hour total immersion show free of any communication barriers. An evening the community will always remember.
